Real Betis have re-acquired Giovani Lo Celso from Tottenham Hotspur in a permanent transfer. The Argentina international had one year remaining on his contract at Tottenham and has signed a four-year deal with Betis until 2028. Lo Celso spent 18 months on loan at Villarreal before returning to Spurs last season. He made 24 appearances for Tottenham but has now returned to Betis. He is the ninth signing for Betis this summer, joining players such as Vitor Roque, Diego Llorente, Marc Roca, and Ricardo Rodriguez. Lo Celso previously played for Paris Saint-Germain and initially joined Tottenham on loan in 2019 before the move became permanent. He scored 11 goals and provided eight assists for Tottenham in 108 appearances.
